Our Staffy X is nearly 2. He is missing a pigment gene which makes him very pink. He goes everywhere with us....even on holidays. Recently we took him camping on the beach and he got very sunburnt on his eye rims and had scabs on them. (I can put sunscreen on his nose and ears but not his eyes) A friend told me about DOGGLES. We now have a pair of K9 Optix and it has been really easy to train him to wear them. I think he knows how cool he looks as he gets heaps of attention from strangers. People who are normally afraid of dogs are more relaxed around him when he is wearing them. I have also purchased some camo doggles, he is taking a bit longer to get used to them but he has only had them on a few times. These provide him with enclosed cover so will be perfect for sunny days.

So far, so good! Florrie still tries her darndest to get them off though she gets intent while herding and forgets them. Not only do they protect from the sun they protect her from any damage during the work from flying dust and debris.
